                                                                      Footballs

https://verbalfootball.wordpress.com/tag/old-fashioned-center-forward/

Footballs are mostly made in Pakistan. 80% of footballs are made in a town called Sialkot by child labour! however some of the more modern balls are made using machines. above is a video attached of footballs being made by machines. The new balls have been made to fit the players better and fly through the air with more control.

There has been a huge development in footballs over the years as u can see from the two pictures I have attached. The modern day ball is full of colour and modern technology however the old football is brown and stitched together poorly. The modern footballs run along the ground better and suit the pitch far more than the old footballs. The new footballs dip and swerve more than ever making it extremely hard for Keepers to save powerful shots.

                                                                 The Grounds Men

The video below shows what it is like as a grounds man and how important it is to keep the pitch in tip top shape. the grounds men have a huge job to do and a lot of responsibility. The players expect the best pitch when they go to play. Grounds men who work for  the top clubs must cut the grass a few times a week, to keep the grass short and pristine. The grass growing is dependant on the weather so grounds men need to be aware of the forecast too.

                                                                   The Football Pitch.

The football pitch can have a huge affect on how players and teams perform. If the pitch is wet the ball is going to travel quicker and there will be more late challenges along with players slipping.

As You can see from the picture I have attached above football pitches have to be kept in pristine condition to allow football players to play to their best ability. The grass should be cut between 25-30mm for the best quality.
The best pitches aim for about 20 cuts per year. The white lines are painted on around the outline of the pitch along with the centre circle, halfway line and the boxes. Football goals need to be checked weekly to make sure they are still working to the best of their ability.
